Starting Out Successfully (SOS)

Starting Out Successfully (SOS) is an onsite training provided to an individual or facility staff on an appointment basis.

Family and Group Home Providers (click to contact us about scheduling)
Family and Group Homes Providers work through six modules, one at a time, in the areas of Child Development, Health & Safety, Parent-Provider Relationships, Professionalism, Curriculum & Environment, Guidance-Discipline, and Business Management. The trainer comes to the Provider’s home for six visits to discuss and go over the modules. Each module is worth two hours of training, for a total of 12 hours. All six modules must be completed before credit for training hours can be given. The training hours count toward the eight hours of annual training mandated by the State of Montana.

Center-based Providers (click to contact us about scheduling)

The training can be customized as to the length of each session, resulting in a total of eight hours. A module is provided to each provider to read and keep as a reference.
